Automation Technician Midland, TX

AT-1002 | Skilled Automation Oil and Gas Technicians in the West Texas region.

Must have at least 2+ years of I&E Industrial experience. Seeking well rounded and diversified skill set as an I&E Tech. Technicians will assist with commissioning and point to point checks on well pads and facilities. Knowledge of instrumentation, electrical and communications is needed. Technician will also be involved and will contribute to maintaining and developing future sites. ABB, ROC and PLC programming experience is a plus.     Tank installation and repairs

    General cleanup
    Install motors on equipment
    Set well equipment at well locations which includes cement pads and pumping units
    Responsible for tie-down of pumping units and installing counter weights for balancing pumping units
    Install and repair pipelines
    Haul pipe and rods
    General yard maintenance of ground and buildings
    Haul gravel for tank battery location and road upkeep
    Clean up oil spills
    Must be proficient with all tools including air and electrical

PLC Programmer Midland, TX

PP-1009 | PLC Programmer

This position is primarily responsible for programming automation and controls systems involving PLC’s and RTU’s. The Programmer must be fluent in Ladder Logic, C++, and familiar with other PLC programming languages that are used to monitor and control the state of input devices. This position also involves project management activities, including consulting with the customers, to determine their hardware, software, or system functional specifications. These Technicians must be customer-oriented and maintain excellent relationships and service to existing customers. The Programmer may provide technical product support to both customers and Bighorn employees.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

·        BS in Electrical, Mechanical, or Computer Engineering is desired but experience will can trump all.

·        Minimum 2 - 5 years of similar experience is required.

·        Experience in the Petroleum Industry with broad based knowledge of oil and gas product lines.

·        Fluent in Ladder Logic and C++ programming and familiar with other PLC programming languages.

·        Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.

·        Demonstrates problem-solving skills and a keen attention to details and accuracy.

·        Good mechanical aptitude and industry knowledge.

·        Ability to work under minimal or no supervision.

·        Possess a valid driver’s license and a safe driving record; able to travel to various locations within territory.

·        Able to speak, write, and read the English language.
